Sonnet - Shall I Compare Thee to the Winter's Gloom?
Why, yes. Yes, I shall compare thee. Thanks for asking...
Shall I compare thee to the winter’s gloom?
Snow falls, I slide home in the Coupe de Ville
Though it’s tough to budge from the cold’s vague bloom
Your glowing smile is a balm to damp chill
You breathe light, awaken life in the tomb
Your bright beauty is purely blessed skill
One that radiates in graveyard and womb
But still, for splotchy sunburn, I would kill
My shivered soul, these brutal months do leech
That’s why I’m moving to Miami Beach!
